bernadette hince

Bernadette has a background combining the humanities and sciences. Her main interests are polar history, language, food plants and their use, and food history and practice. Her PhD (2005, in the Fenner School of Environment and Society, ANU) is an environmental history of subantarctic Îles Kerguelen, Île Saint-Paul, McDonald, Heard, Macquarie, Auckland and Campbell Islands.

She is a Visiting Fellow in the Australian National Dictionary Centre, at the Australian National University in Canberra.
